Who is responsible for your information?

Nicos Andronicou, a sole trader operating X IT trading as Exciting Fireworks, is the controller of information you provide to the shop through this website. You can contact us at info@excitingfireworks.co.uk, on 020 7263 0005, or at 200 Stroud Green Road, London N4 3RN.

Collection reservations and enquiries

We use the contact details, basket contents, collection date and time, messages and reservation information you provide to arrange your requested collection, answer enquiries and communicate about the service. If required information is missing, we may be unable to complete the reservation or contact you about it. A website reservation does not complete a purchase; the sale and payment are completed in the shop.

We use this information to take steps you request before a purchase. Information needed for a later in-store purchase may be processed to perform that sale. Where relevant, we also keep records to meet legal obligations, including accounting requirements. Our legitimate interests in operating a secure shop service and handling enquiries, complaints and legal claims may require relevant service records.

The collection form records your declaration that you are aged 18 or over and will bring valid photo ID. It does not ask you to upload identity documents. Your declaration does not replace the shop’s collection checks. Please do not include identity-document numbers or card details in message fields. No payment is taken through this website.

Requested stock alerts

Where a “Notify me” form is offered, we use the email address you submit to register the product-specific back-in-stock notification you request through Wix. This form is separate from a general newsletter signup. Contact us if you want to withdraw your request or ask for the associated information to be removed.

Wix and service providers

Wix provides the website’s commerce, basket and reservation services and processes customer information on our behalf. Information needed to provide these services is handled by Wix and its service providers under its Data Processing Addendum. Wix may process information outside the UK using the applicable international-transfer mechanisms described there, including adequacy decisions or contractual safeguards. Contact us if you need more information about these arrangements.

Browser storage, fonts and videos

The basket and Wix visitor session use browser storage or cookies to keep the basket and checkout journey working. This site also stores your fireworks-animation preference on your device. You can clear stored site data in your browser settings; doing so can reset your basket or preferences.

Wix also supplies the hosted site’s analytics and consent-management components. These can process technical information about visits. Optional storage or tracking that requires consent must follow the choices you make through the site’s consent controls.

The site loads its typeface from Google Fonts. When the font is requested, your browser connects to Google’s servers. Some package videos use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player, which is loaded when you choose to open the video. Google then receives information needed to deliver its services, such as your IP address and browser information. See Google’s privacy policy. Other product videos and images are delivered from Wix media services.

Links to Google Maps, Exciting FX, Exciting Parties and other websites take you to services with their own privacy information.

How long information is kept

Retention is assessed according to whether a reservation was collected or cancelled, whether an enquiry or complaint remains unresolved, applicable accounting and tax requirements, and the need to establish or defend legal claims. These criteria determine which records remain necessary and which can be removed.

The three-day stock hold is a collection rule. It does not mean customer information is automatically deleted after three days. Contact us to ask about the records held for your reservation or to request deletion.

Your information rights

Depending on the processing and legal basis, you may have rights to access your information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, restrict processing or receive portable information. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Some information may need to be kept to meet a legal obligation or deal with a legal claim.

Your right to object

You can object to processing based on legitimate interests by contacting us and explaining your circumstances. You also have the right to object to use of your information for direct marketing.
