Smoke Bubble Machines: Hiring the Effect for Weddings and Events

A smoke bubble machine makes bubbles filled with fog. When a bubble bursts, it releases the fog inside. The result is different from ordinary bubbles, a low-fog floor effect or a confetti burst, so start by deciding which look suits your event.

ExcitingFX lists smoke-bubble effects for weddings, parties, photo shoots and live performances, as standalone hire or part of a special-effects package.

Choose the moment and the setting

Tell the team whether you are planning a first dance, entrance, staged photograph or performance. Explain where guests and performers will be and whether the effect is intended for a short moment or a longer part of the event.

The Smoke Bubbles listing notes that wind can affect outdoor performance. Share the setting and discuss the proposed location rather than assuming that an indoor demonstration represents what will happen outside.

Ask the venue about the floor and effects

The same listing notes that the effect may leave slight residue and recommends checking with the venue. Ask about the actual floor, the proposed effect area and any arrangements needed for checking or cleaning it.

A venue that restricts confetti has not automatically approved smoke bubbles. Give it the product details and ask for its decision on that specific proposal.

ExcitingFX also notes that the effect is not suitable for open-flame or pyrotechnic areas. If the event includes other effects, disclose them before choosing the arrangement. Treat that as a production-planning discussion, rather than a reason to combine effects yourself.

Know what the hire includes

The Smoke Bubbles page describes a machine, bubble and smoke fluids for average usage, a power cable and setup instructions. It also offers optional delivery, setup and collection.

Confirm what those terms mean for your event. Equipment supplied with instructions is a different arrangement from having someone attend and operate it. If you need a crew for a timed moment, ask for that service explicitly.

The separate equipment-hire range is advertised as collection only. Compare the individual listing and the agreed service rather than relying on the word “hire”.

Model details matter

DJPOWER’s WP-4 manufacturer page confirms the fog-filled bubble effect. For an event booking, request the specifications of the actual machine supplied, especially where your venue needs power or equipment information.

Send the right enquiry

  • Your date, venue and indoor or outdoor setting.

  • The moment you want to photograph or highlight.

  • Any floor, residue or effects restrictions from the venue.

  • The expected usage and whether other effects are planned.

  • Whether you need collection, delivery, setup or operation.

Contact the team with those details to discuss the effect and check availability.
